So when the big day FINALLY arrives, you want to be prepared for any minor problem, OR, Heaven forbid…major disaster.
You KNOW that no one can do it better than a mother…so as ‘Mother of the Bride’, you should be responsible for “The Mother of the Bride Emergency Bag.” Remember when your daughter was a little girl? You had everything in your purse but the kitchen sink? When she got a little older and you were a “Dance Mom” or “Sports Mom” you had it all – including fashion tape or bug fogger for those “outdoor events”? Well, your daughter’s wedding day is one of “those days” times 10! My dear friends, Tammy and Nancy, gifted me with the wonderful bag above, and I can’t tell you how excited I am to load it up. Following are a few items that are must-haves:
Bride’s personal make-up items for touch-up
Fashion tape for last minute adjustments
Band-aides
Mini sewing kit
Advil, or other pain reliever
Tums
Immodium – please God—no!
Tampon –again- No!!
Tissues!!
Hairspray
Deodorant
Castile soap and or baking soda for MINOR spills
Static guard
Wrinkle releaser
Wisp/ mouth wash
Safety pins
Earring backs
Emery board
Snacks – something with no red or chocolate – what in the heck would THAT BE?!? 🙂
Bobbie pins, white as well as bride’s hair color, in case you need to pin a veil or headpiece
Bride’s purse with her ID, credit card, a few bill, and whatever she may need for the wedding night. It would be easy to forget a purse in all the frenzy of the day.
Maybe you’re a ‘stream-lined’ mom…and you think you can get by with the minimal, (anyone who’s ever been my travel companion, knows that’s NOT the case with me… 🙂 ). Check out the darling case above. Found on pinterest.com
If you REALLY want to go all out, check out the enormous list above!
And you know… If you pack all these items, you won’t need a one…
